This Website Means a Lot To Us!

It is so much more than a point of sale for gluten free food with no worries attached.
It is rather the conclusion of a life with celiac disease, and all that it means: in terms of being properly diagnosed, having the right food available, and tasting life ... again.

After – often – an endless story of symptoms, pain, do‘s ,and dont‘s, this page is the key to a happy, and healthy life; tasty, yummy, crunchy, and 100% delicious & 100% gluten free.

Our idea was to create an online store offering only things we love. We loved the testing phase before we went online. What you will get is all the joy of eating, various tastes, and of course good nutrition.

No cookies that taste like flavored dust.
No bread that falls apart before you manage to get it on your plate
No pasta that comes out of the pot like a big, twisted, unseperable paste.

How It All Began...

Gluten sensitivity and celiac disease has been a topic in my life before I was even born.
Yet it took almost 20 years until I knew where all my symptoms were coming from: the threat of premature birth, a weak immune system since day 1, tummy ache, headache, migraines, back pain, to name only a few (see Test Yourself).

Only a few month after getting married, and after years of terrible back pain, it turned out: my back was broken, most likely due to a loss of bone densitity which may be one of the consequences of gluten sensitivity or celiac … if you don‘t stick to your diet. I didn‘t even know there WAS a diet. Even more, I didn‘t know that only one exception can destroy the effort of a year of gluten free diet!

My husband and I became experts in watching out for even the slightest trace of gluten containing food. We didn‘t know that one day, a few years down the line, all frustrations would blend into www.glutenfree-supermarket.ae, and save children, parents, young and old adults, from going through what we went through.

A Path with NO Exceptions

For a long time, I thought, reducing gluten would suffice because no doctor told me that the only hope for a happy and healthy life is NO GLUTEN AT ALL.

My cravings were many, and I learned it the hard way what it means to not find what you want to eat, to not be able to go to a restaurant, to even hardly be able to eat at friends. They can‘t keep their kitchen utensils in a normal household clean enough to avoid contamination. But that‘s what it takes.

For a gluten sensitive person, any exeption is followed by various symtoms, and very uncomfortable consequences that more often than not ruin the day. Having the right foods available saves you from making half hearted compromises, or fall in the trap of "only one exeption." They nurture your body, and they nurture your soul

Being on a strict diet is so much worth the try: You can cook, and bake, and enjoy, like anybody else, only with different ingredients. You won‘t miss a taste, a texture, a flavor.
